Front Beach Back Beach
Front Beach, Back Beach (FBBB) is a 2022 public art project by Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery and Deakin University, revealing hidden stories across 15 Peninsula sites, from Harold Holt’s disappearance to the region’s forgotten chicory industry.
The brand draws on three location hubs and the Peninsula’s colours, combining playfulness and humour with a nod to nostalgia. A typographic logo flips ‘Back Beach,’ reflecting the project’s name and contrasting shorelines. The bespoke, mobile-first website prioritises accessibility and usability, serving as a marketing platform, planning tool, and interactive hub for attendees.
