We pay our respects to First Nations knowledge holders and recognise the unceded lands on which we live, work, and learn.

The Ecologies Project

The Ecologies Project explores the profound impact of climate change on human culture across deep time. Amplifying First Nations voices and ongoing calls for sustainability, this exhibition poses a vital question: How does a shifting ecology reshape our cultural identity?

The design direction adopts a typographic approach to mirror the evolving relationship between climate and culture. The juxtaposition of serif and sans serif fonts highlights the contrast between past and present — where the sans serif leads the way, symbolising the emergence of new ideas and conversations.

Artist names are deconstructed to form a typographic texture, visually representing the destruction and decay caused by environmental catastrophes. The carefully chosen colour palette underscores the urgency of the issue, with a vibrant red invoking immediate attention, softened by a calming light purple, and grounded in the earthy stability of deep brown.
